Pupils at Howe Green House School met Olympic fencing Competitor Linda Strachan this week, who visited the school to promote the forthcoming Commonwealth Games, and to talk about her experience as an elite sportsperson.
Linda, who is a double Olympian, 7 times British National Senior Champion and 5 times Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, gave an inspirational talk to the children, followed by a lively Q and A session. Sports are an important part of the curriculum at Howe Green House, and Linda’s visit inspired many pupils to become future Olympians!
