What’s your role at Howe Green House?
Head of Pastoral and Wellbeing and Year Two Form tutor.

How long have you worked at House Green House?
This is my 5th Year at Howe Green House.

What’s your favourite food?
A roast dinner – nothing beats it on a cold, wintery Sunday!

Do you have any hobbies?
I love reading, walking and cooking.

What book are you reading at the moment?
Julie by Sandra Newman.

What does your perfect weekend look like?
Long walk, pub lunch, afternoon with friends and family, trying a new recipe for dinner, followed by an evening of relaxing in front of the fire watching TV.

One piece of advice for your pupils?
Above all, be kind.

What made you get into teaching?
Wanting to be part of child’s journey in becoming the person they want to be.

What excites you the most about teaching?
When a child thinks something is unachievable, only to find that with resilience and determination, they can achieve and thrive!

If you weren’t a teacher, what career path do you think you would have pursued?
Midwifery.

How do you maintain a good work-life balance as a teacher?
It is hard, but I give myself one work free day each weekend.

What is the one fun fact about you that your students might not know.
I am in a community choir.
