The Parents and Friends Committee is very active, raising funds for projects within the school and also providing a social network for everyone to enjoy.
We have a vibrant, productive, and supportive group of parents who are instrumental in organising many Howe Green House events – for the children, the parents, and of course, the whole school community. This can range from organising school discos for the children to meticulously planning the Grand Summer Ball – as a result of which, they have raised a significant sum for school development.
Anyone can join the PFHGH; even if time is a difficult commodity for a parent to give, there will be a way in which they can become involved in the Howe Green House family.
The school is incredibly grateful for the time and energy parents give and believe working together is a vital part of our success.
What Does the Parents and Friends Committee Do?
From termly school discos to the Grand Summer Ball, the Parents and Friends Committee brings the whole Howe Green House community together, both for fun and to raise valuable funds for school projects. Every event, however big or small, helps strengthen the friendships and support network that make Howe Green House feel like a genuine family.
How Do the Funds Raised Benefit the School?
Money raised by the committee goes directly back into the school, supporting projects and resources that benefit every child at Howe Green House. Over the years, this generosity has helped fund improvements that might not otherwise have been possible.
How Can You Get Involved?
You do not need to commit to a formal role to be part of the PFHGH. Many parents help out with a single event, lend a hand on the day, or simply spread the word to other families. However much time you have to give, there is a place for you within the Howe Green House parent community.
