LITTLE OAKS NURSERY (Pre-School)
At Howe Green House, we understand the importance of consistent care and learning in the early years. Alongside our term-time offer, we provide a 48-week provision for children in Little Oaks and Reception through our dedicated holiday club.
Our holiday provision blends engaging activities, play-based learning and nurturing care, ensuring children continue to thrive in a familiar and supportive environment throughout the year. This extended provision gives families flexibility and peace of mind while offering children opportunities to explore, create and grow beyond the classroom.
Registration Fee
A non-refundable Registration Fee of £75.00 is payable at the time of registration. The registration fee includes an embroidered initialled backpack and waterproof leggings on entry to Little Oaks. Please note that a registration fee is not required if you are accessing a fully funded place with no additional hours.
The nursery is open 48 weeks of the year from 8.45am to 3.45pm every day. Wraparound care sessions for 7.30am to 5.30pm are also available.
The nursery is closed 24th December-1st January and 17th-28th August 2026.
Fees are payable monthly in advance.

Joining Little Oaks Nursery provides families with priority admission to our Reception class and eligibility to our Piggy Bank Scheme.

Funded Early Education Entitlement
We offer FEEE funded hours during Term Time only, 15 hours per week. 35 weeks per year. FEEE funded hours are only available from 12.45pm until 3.45pm each afternoon. We do not offer the extended 30 hours of free childcare.
There is a Voluntary Chargeable Extras fee of £10 per funded session (£3.33 per hour). This covers additional directed activities including Forest School, Cooking, Mindfulness, Science experiments and sessions with our specialists qualified teachers in the main school in Music (including singing and instruments), PE and Art, including dedicated time in the Art room. Parents may opt out of this voluntary charge, with any children affected being cared for within the nursery with their usual nursery activities.
All children are eligible for the Universal Entitlement (FEEE3&4 15 hours) from the term after their third birthday.
There are 2 types of entitlement for 2 year olds. FEEE2 allows 15 hours funding for families receiving additional support and FEEE2W up to 30 hours funding for working parents . Please note that as we do not offer the extended 30 hours of free childcare only 15 hours can be accessed
In line with our funding Contract, funding is not available for children who attend Reception Class.
We accept Tax-Free Childcare vouchers.

48-week provision
Parents accessing the 48-week model may now access this on a termly basis. Please make bookings via Little Oaks as normal. Bookings must be made no later than the end of the first week of term (19th September for this term). Anyone already on the 48 week model need only contact us if they have any changes.
You will be invoiced half-termly in advance throughout the year. Invoice due dates will be:
6th October 2025, 17th November 2025, 16th January 2026, 9th February 2026, 6th March 2026, 4th May 2026 and 15th June 2026
We offer the facility to book 1 week’s holiday per annum from the 48 week model if needed. This must be notified at the time of booking a place in Holiday Provision so that credit can be given and the correct amounts can be invoiced. This can only be a 1 week booking, we cannot give credit for individual days.
Parents on the Term time only model may access Holiday provision but sessions need to be booked 6 weeks (half a term) in advance of each school break and will be charged at the daily rate of £90 per day. You can book as many days as you need but once booked these will be invoiced and must be paid for, we cannot offer refunds for days booked and not taken.
The Holiday Provision dates for 2025/2026 are as follows, all dates are inclusive;
Michaelmas Term
October ½ term – 2 weeks holiday, 20th to 31st October – 10 days
Christmas Break – 2 weeks holiday, 15th to 23rd Dec, 2nd Jan and 5th Jan – 7 days
Spring Term
February ½ term – 1 week – 16th to 20th February – 5 days
Easter Break – 3 weeks holiday – 30th March to 17th April (includes 2 bank holidays) – 13 days
Summer Term
May ½ term – 1 week holiday – 26th May to 29th May (includes 1 bank holiday) – 4 days
Summer Break – 6 weeks – 13th July to 14th August
